Dosing Tube Filters
A dosing tube filter is a filter located at the base of the dosing tube which is intended to reduce non-metallic inclusions. The use of a dosing tube filter enables direct filtration as metal enters the tube. The filter has been proven to reduce inclusion defects and provide filtration of metal before it enters the dosing launder.
Dosing tube filters are generally constructed using bonded particle filter (BPF?) media and are engineered to meet customer specifications.
- Reduce casting scrap
- Filters metal prior to entering the dosing tube
- Easy installation with sealing gasket or Frakset assembly cement
- Spent filters can be removed to reuse dosing tubes
